Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern use of the ExpendoX iOS application and related services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using ExpendoX, the user agrees to these Terms. Apple requires apps and subscription purchase flows to clearly describe what the user receives, how billing works, and how users can manage subscriptions.

Eligibility
ExpendoX is intended for users who are at least 16 years old, or older where required by local law. By using the app, the user represents that this eligibility requirement is met.
The service
ExpendoX is a personal finance management application that may include features such as:
- Expense tracking and categorization
- Budget planning
- Savings goal tracking
- Wishlist management
- Multi-currency support
- AI-assisted financial organization features
- Optional Telegram integration
- Optional voice-to-text entry through Apple-provided dictation features
Not financial advice. ExpendoX is a personal finance organization tool. It is not a bank, broker, lender, tax advisor, accounting firm, legal advisor, or registered investment advisor. Content and AI-generated responses are for general informational and organizational purposes only.
Accounts
To use certain features, a user may need to create an account. The user agrees to:
- Provide accurate and current registration information
- Maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
- Promptly notify ExpendoX of suspected unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for activity occurring through the account to the extent caused by the user's actions or failure to safeguard credentials
ExpendoX may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or material violation of these Terms.
Acceptable use
The user must not:
- Use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or damage the app or supporting infrastructure
- Reverse engineer or decompile source code except where prohibited by applicable law
- Use bots or automated methods to access the service without authorization
- Upload malicious code or harmful content
- Misrepresent identity or affiliation
AI features
ExpendoX may include AI-powered features. By using them, the user acknowledges that:
- AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular situation
- AI output is not professional advice
- Important financial decisions should be independently verified
- Sensitive information such as passwords, government identifiers, card numbers, and bank credentials should not be entered into AI chat fields
Subscriptions and payments
6.1 Free and paid features
ExpendoX may offer a free version and one or more paid subscription tiers with additional features.
6.2 iOS billing
For iOS, subscriptions are billed by Apple through the App Store using Apple's in-app purchase system, as required for digital features offered within the app.
6.3 Auto-renewal
Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically. The user can view, manage, or cancel a subscription in Apple account settings or through a link provided in the app.
6.4 Pricing and disclosures
Before purchase, the app discloses the subscription name, duration, included features, full renewal price, and any free-trial terms. The billed amount is the most prominent pricing element.
6.5 Free trials and offers
If a free trial, introductory offer, promotional offer, or win-back offer is provided, eligibility, duration, and post-offer billing terms are governed by the offer presented in the purchase flow and Apple's App Store systems.
6.6 Refunds
For purchases made through Apple's App Store, billing support and refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights a user may have under applicable law.
Account deletion
A user may request account deletion within the app. Deleting an account terminates access to account-based features, subject to any required post-deletion processing and any lawful retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled separately through the user's Apple account settings.
Suspension or termination
ExpendoX may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to:
- Protect security or platform integrity
- Prevent fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity
- Comply with legal obligations
- Enforce these Terms after a material violation
- Discontinue the service or a part of the service
Where appropriate, notice may be given, but immediate action may be taken if necessary for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
Intellectual property
All rights in the app, including software, design, branding, trademarks, content created by ExpendoX, and related materials, are owned by or licensed to TANGENIX Private Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
The user retains rights in content personally submitted to the app, such as expense notes and user-entered data. The user grants ExpendoX a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
The app may rely on third-party services such as Apple, Supabase, RevenueCat, Groq, PostHog, Sentry, and Telegram. Those services may be governed by their own terms and policies. ExpendoX is not responsible for third-party services except as required by applicable law.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. No representation or warranty is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ExpendoX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount paid by the user to ExpendoX in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 25.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Consumer rights
These Terms do not override mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of the user's country, state, or region of residence.
Changes to the service or Terms
Features may change over time. These Terms may also be updated from time to time. If a material change is made, notice may be provided in-app, by email, or by another appropriate method before or when the change takes effect, where required by law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law requires otherwise.
If a dispute arises, the parties should first attempt to resolve it informally by contacting support@expendox.com. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear the dispute. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing a claim where mandatory local law gives that consumer the right to do so.
